Founder and Family

Founded by Francisco Aguilar in 1997, Inova Industries has grown from a small, independent copy machine repair shop into a leading copier service provider in Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties. What began as a humble garage based business operating under the name COPYMEX, has evolved into a trusted, family-owned business known for reliability, expertise, and community dedication.

Francisco immigrated to the United States from Mexico City in the early 1980s, bringing his family in pursuit of the American dream. Working 3 jobs to support his family, he discovered a passion for servicing large copy machines — a skill that would lay the foundation for his lifelong business. Starting in the warehouse and then moving up to a technician, Francisco not only mastered the technical side of the trade but also learned how to build lasting relationships within the community.

By 2000, equipped with knowledge, experience, and a strong local network, Francisco opened a COPYMEX storefront on Ventura Avenue.. With the help of his family — including his wife and children, who worked alongside him at various points — the business steadily grew, earning a reputation for quality service and personal attention.

In 2024, Francisco retired, passing the business to his grandson, Noe Aguilar. Under Noe’s leadership, the company entered a new era, embracing modern technology and meeting the needs of 21st-century businesses. Rebranded as Inova Industries, the company continues to honor the family tradition; working alongside Noe’s brother and mother to deliver the same exceptional service that longtime clients have relied on for decades — while expanding its reach to new businesses throughout the region.
